The Puffy Cloud mattress is a reasonably soft mattress without a "stuck-in-bed" feel. As a light-weight side/combo sleeper, I was initially drawn to Puffy as it's beds are softer and would therefore be better suited for me. I was able to try the Lux and Royal at a Sleepare, but wanted to give the Puffy Cloud a try as I was purchasing only a full: I am continuing to rent a studio apartment while I go to grad school and I didn't want to spend too much on a mattress that I may only have for a few years. I have been sleeping on this mattress for two weeks now; it was delivered on time, nothing was missing, my arthritic 16 year-old cat took to it immediately, and it was ready for sleeping on the first night.
Since I weigh only 125 lbs, the Royal would be a dream bed for me, while the Lux and Cloud are more "practical" purchases. The Cloud still has enough give that I can sleep on my side comfortably. A "medium" bed is about the firmest mattress I can comfortably sleep on, and the Cloud is a medium with a touch of fluffy softness. The Lux and Royal were, however, more contouring. If you're lightweight and very sensitive to pressure build-up while on your side (as in you can't ever get comfortable), the Lux or Royal would probably be better options. If you're at least average weight and don't like "plush" but appreciate some softness, the Cloud should work for you. If you want a true "firm" bed, Puffy is entirely the wrong choice.
Online reviews warned that the Cloud may be too soft for even light-weight stomach sleepers like myself, but I don't find that the case at all. I do not experience any forward sagging of my hips; I actually feel quite supported. Back sleeping is also very comfortable. I will note that on the Lux model there was much greater contouring of my lumbar, with the mattress giving for my butt but also still supporting my lower spine.
The inclusion of the accessories is a nice bonus, especially if you're in need of these items, as they are essentials of good quality. My favorite of the bundle are the sheets. They meet the definition of "luxury," as they are soft, silky, and cooling. They are a little heavier in weight than standard cotton sheets. If you're someone that likes sleeping under the weight of a blanket, these sheets will mimic that without overheating. The top sheet is also super long, so no worries about it becoming untucked at the foot of the bed. The light grey is also better than white as a neutral color because it won't as readily show stains or dinginess.
The protector and pillows could use some clarification in their description. I would not call the protector truly "cooling," as I did not notice a cooling effect from it versus without it. I have a true cooling mattress protector from Brooklyn Bedding; it is cool to the touch and has a notable cooling effect (it was also very expensive). The Puffy protector does not produce this same effect; it is temperature neutral. It is "breathable," which is still a good thing because it doesn't add heat. The knit is also very soft and it's noticeable through the bottom sheet while lying on it. It is also genuinely waterproof: when I washed it, it became turned inside-out for the spin cycle and none of the water was wrung out. Plus, it has the cute cloud stitching. In sum, it will adequately protect the mattress while making it a touch softer without any weird crinkling noise or making it hotter.
My order stated the pillows as part of my package were to be the white with the cute cloud stitching. The ones I received are grey with no cute cloud stitching. I was/am a little disappointed by that. They were, however, packaged compressed inside the rolled-up mattress, so it would've been impossible to know what color the pillows were before shipping without unrolling the mattress first. The grey does have a gusset, which is good if you're using these as your primary pillows for sleeping on as it helps them maintain a more supportive shape (I am currently using them as shams). The cover is also still a very soft, breathable knit. They are also overfilled with the removable filling, so they can be adjusted to your preference (and will also fully fill out a sham).
If this mattress holds up for the next few years, a Lux or Royal will likely be my next bed when I'm finally done with school and buy a home later on. In the meantime, the Cloud will work for me and my aging cat in our rented studio apartment as a comfy bed that also doubles as our couch.
